Has your template disappeared? You’re sure you saved it, but know it’s gone? Use these steps to get it back quickly. It might be closer than you think.
The Situation
I needed to update my Blog template yesterday and wouldn’t you know, I couldn’t find it. I spent hours on it and just needed to make a small tweak on it. Here are a few steps on how to find it.
Step One
Hopefully, you remember the name of your template. Log in to your WordPress account to get started.
Step Two
Next, scroll down the list in your WordPress dashboard until you get to templates, give it a click.
Step Three
If for some reason you don’t see it on the list, scroll all the way to the bottom for mobile or the right side of the list for desktop and type the name into the search box.
Conclusion
This is short but sweet. This could be a setup issue on my end or a glitch in the system. It would seem obvious to use search, but I didn’t use it due to the list only showing 10 items and none additional. As we get better with WordPress things like this can cause big problems. Good luck!
