What Can You Do in 30 Days?

Time to set some goals. I want to lose at least 20 lbs in 30 days. I’ll let you know how it goes. I’m going to track my weight, eating habits and activities in a log. The main goal here is to eliminate as much sugar as possible in my diet. If you’ve never tried it, you should. The results are almost immediate.

 

I have done the low carb and keto diets in the last few years. It worked for me. You will eventually not want sugar after a few weeks. The only problem is the bounceback if you begin eating junk again.

 

That’s what happened to me this year. I was in the hospital for about a week and wasn’t allowed to eat for 4 or 5 days. When I got out and went home, everyone was showering me with food and I obliged.

 

The biggest thing I noticed about doing the keto diet was my energy levels. No more ups and downs. It was steady and more abundant. Of course though when you have more energy your mental health improves.

 

I think I’m in a fall funk at the moment. I’ve been charging ahead for a few months and now I’m kinda blah….. I also need a minor surgery later this year and want to drop a few pounds before I have to loaf for a few weeks.

 

We’re all fixing to go through the holiday gauntlet soon. It’s a great way to wreck your diet. I’ve always had a hard time with cheat days too. They usually turn into cheat weeks.

Update 9-11-19: I’ve lost about 30 lbs since this post and kept it off. I’m writing every day and feeling good.
